Dekker, 1964, American Camellia Yearbook, p.66: McCaskill Gardens, Pasadena, California are introducing their new vernalis seedling, which is a semi-double in the form of one star superimposed on another star. The centre is white shading to lavender rose at the edges. Flowers mid-season. The shrub is vigorous, upright and bushy with foliage similar to Ginyrū.
